About Me

My photo
Savory Instinct
I am just starting out with this blog so please bear with me. I developed a love for food by watching my mom preparing traditional Cantonese Chinese rustic meals. Everything she made was by instinct and hence I decided on the name Savory Instinct. I also picked up cooking by instinct from her. This can be a bad thing since I can't always tell you how much to put of a certain ingredient. Growing up in a Cantonese Chinese family, our main activity is eating. Our food is not always Chinese food since we are from Cambodia and there is a rich food culture there as well. I am blessed to say that we got the best of both world. Cooking is not always fun but I know food can bring much comfort and joy to all souls. I am no Iron Chef but will share with you what I know. Cheers!
